On January 27, 2025; MISFA signed funding agreement with Afghanistan Microfinance Association (AMA) to cover the operating cost of the association. This funding will empower AMA to undertake knowledge sharing, advocacy, coordination and networking activities aimed to support the operations of microfinance institutions across the country. MISFA has resumed funding the association following the reforms implemented by the member-organizations at AMA. Historically, MISFA has been the founder and either sole or primary donor of AMA. MISFA will work with the new leadership and senior management of AMA to ensure timely and effective support to the partner organizations on the ground.
